Out of the Mouth of Clouds

Once upon a time there was a girl born on July 29th and when she entered the world the clouds themselves smiled and patiently parted to let the infant bask in the new sun, the light of her world, aptly nicknaming the child "Sunshine". The clouds knew that she would be a beacon to those in need and a true friend indeed.

This girl grew up to become Jordan Claire LaSalle.

The woman was everything the clouds envisioned her to become and much, much more. Jordan was dynamic in life and in endeavors, loving to friends and strangers, attentive to needs, wit personified, beautiful in every way possible, and true to herself and others.

Jordan chose to be brave, to live, to make mistakes, to learn, to grow, to teach, to love, to laugh, to endure, to be, but, most importantly, to be present and see what each moment was offering.

In Italy, Jordan met a character named Dustin Ashley Beam and the two have been close ever since. Although gay, Dustin has a way with the ladies and is in no short supply of friends of the female persuasion. Dustin used to have a problem with loving multiple people/items, etc. akin to a child only knowing how to love one stuffed animal. Now, Dustin understands each woman (and the guy friends too) brings something different and brilliant to his story.

Jordan is an unparalleled addition and edition.

She has helped Dustin be a more attentive listener, better storyteller, and to truly live, to be present, to laugh more freely, and to be himself. They are indeed the best of friends.

In the past, Dustin has complimented to make someone like him, because he felt it appropriate, but the story of Jordan he shares with you, in this tick-tock, is meant to share the greatness that is Jordan, the miracle she is.

There is no one like her and Dustin is thankful he went to Italy, if for no other reason than to meet her. He has even thought about marrying Jordan and performing certain deeds on her, but the fact remains that Dustin is a "gay". But Jordan should feel flattered knowing that Dustin has never really thought about that before.

And the certain deeds would be miraculous, F.Y.I. :-)

So, Dustin presents a much belated (but talked about so he does not feel guilty) Part One of Jordan's birthday gifts.

Just as the clouds nicknamed Jordan, Dustin felt it appropriate to give her another name:

JOSENVAL

It is fashioned out of the words
Joy (which she embodies and emanates),
Sister (she is a part of Dustin's family, always),
Listener (which she does so well it both mystifies and makes Dustin think she is not of this world),
and
Validator (Wow, she does this effortlessly and makes Dustin feel like a Prince when they talk).

To you Jordan, I celebrate all you are and give you my heart and its new name for you... my josenval,
Dustin

I Love the Clarks

I LOVE THE CLARKS!!!!!!!!!!!! (I used twelve exclamation marks/points to show the significance of the love and because twelve is my cosmic number.) It is that simple. Jay and Karen (and the illustrious Quin) allowed me to move into their lovely home under the proviso I would be out in a few days. Well that was October 18th and, look at your calendar folks, I am still here. I think that finally the light has bounced off of a nimbus cloud that I have not seen before and I might have a dwelling. But... I LOVE these two people. They just get me and leave me to my own devices. In this time where I have sequestered myself off into my own little respite lair, they have let me "do my own thing". And they are such lovely, talented, decent people. It has been my honour to get to know them more and their ultimate collaboration, THE Quin. He is the COOLEST child ever. I adore the boy. Tonight Jay, Karen, and I played a card game called Nerts. I am addicted and I saw new shades ...

Scampering Back From the Hiatus

I awoke with these names in my head... surely they are characters from a forthcoming story tentatively entitled, "The Merman's Song": Briinan Jossuraje Arthero Zyne What a perplexing and delicious way to greet the morning, I love it when that happens. Jer is heading over to bond and I am trying to break the habit of making him wait when he arrives for me to finish getting ready. It is a tad ridiculous and just keeps happening, one of those atrocious habits that is born out of sheer laziness and poor time management skills. I just love, love, love, love that guy. If I am the toothbrush, he is the floss, the Ron to my Harry, the Patty to my Sandi, the Pepper to my Doctor, the Dorothy to my Rose, the world's best person and my FAVOURITE. He keeps me sane, he really does. The picture is from the wedding in which I performed last weekend. I think it is a classy and interesting shot. There is loads to deliver and reveal as I took a brief hiatus, not intentionally, but I...

And With This, Farewell

This blog has been a dear friend to me. I am not good at farewells, but truly this is anything but. I look at it like this - I love the phoenix, the symbolism of it all, the power of rebirth. Hence why I named my blog/musing screen after one. :-) So, I am leaving this particular blog to start another one, one that fits me NOW, the one that I can share in a new way. So this feels right. Thanks to those who have read my musings throughout the years. I hope you follow me to my new musing home entitled THE TWELVE THAT IS DUSTIN BAYLAN. Yes, I am changing the name, the story of that is on the new blog for you to read. Here is the link: http://dustinbaylan.wordpress.com/ Much love, much hope and joy again, much potential...
