"Scallions" and "Star Trek" and Shoes, Oh My!

A dear friend of mine was down so we spent the night shopping, eating, conversing, drinking, learning more of each others' story.

That is a night well spent.

I bought a cool ass new wallet, sunshades, sneakers (they are grey, orange, and green and have a rabbit on the back -- you cannot make this stuff up), and pj bottoms.

Operation: Sexify Mission 1.3609 (OSM) accomplished and targets acquired.

Then we found a restaurant called "Scallions" and the environment, the food, and the service were TOP DRAWER. If I could have found a way to absorb the food into my skin so I could carry it with me always, I would have done just that. I will hop over to the lab and start to finagle with the Epidermis Food Experiment of Joy. (henceforth dubbed E.F.E.J.)

And "scallion" is a mysterious, charming word. "Scallion...", like Mufasa, but then again not.

I found the new "Star Trek" trailer. Holy Mother of what the hell cinematic bliss and popcorn is that!!!

I think that this summer is going to take all my power to handle and not melt from glee and awe. Oh, I am looking forward to this summer season, I am!

I ordered my first clothes and shoes online a few days ago in OSM 1.3309. This was an event. I woke up and thought, "I want and need some shoes." I never think like that so I went with the impulse and through the magic of the internet, SEND. CLICK. And the shoes shall be arriving soon. I also purchased a new fedora (I have come to adore those) and some jeans from American Eagle that are in the same style as the original OSM jaunt to the Plaza of the Park. And a righteous polo.

Aside: Jer and I were playing "Marco Polo" in the Benton/Bryant Target years ago and were unusually giddy and decided to play the game saying the words backwards. I strongly suggest you try this with some pals. It is... well it is what it is poppets.

OCRAM OLOP!!!!

(hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee --air intake-- hee hee hee hee... and giggle scene.)

As I have rarely been a person that buys shoes, clothes, etc. it is a new adventure in finding my own look, style, etc. that I feel displays who I am and makes me feel comfy and attractive or comfractive.

It is odd for me to devote a few paragraphs to material goods as I am not bound to many. I certainly have my items I adore, but I truly need very little. I do feel like I am exploring a new side of me in these jaunts to the mall and my recent online excursions. Yay. I look forward to debuting the new attire in public soon.

The most important aspect of the evening was that through these activities I cheered up a lovely person whom I am privileged to call my friend.

Megan, this night was for you and I love you. The top that you bought further exemplifies the hot dish that you are my natural beauty gal pal. :-)

What a morning, day, afternoon, evening, and night. I could not have scripted it better myself.

Entranced to stillness,
Dustin

A post-script to you readers: If you can accurately crack my Operation: Sexify Mission Number code, I shall purchase you a baked potato. :-)

Well, we know it signifies the date of the operation. But I can't figure out the one. At first I thought it signified the sexy operation number, but they seem to be unrelated ops so they must be numbered by only using the date. So back to our whole number... Curious. Is it the objective of the operations? Is it the first attempt at the objective or is it just to throw off infiltrators? Only a decoder ring or a pensive can tell.

Comfractive sounds like a dirty sexual mathmatical property. Like, "the total number of people in the orgy was comfractive by the inverse of the number total shots drank at the. At beforehand.

I Love the Clarks

I LOVE THE CLARKS!!!!!!!!!!!! (I used twelve exclamation marks/points to show the significance of the love and because twelve is my cosmic number.) It is that simple. Jay and Karen (and the illustrious Quin) allowed me to move into their lovely home under the proviso I would be out in a few days. Well that was October 18th and, look at your calendar folks, I am still here. I think that finally the light has bounced off of a nimbus cloud that I have not seen before and I might have a dwelling. But... I LOVE these two people. They just get me and leave me to my own devices. In this time where I have sequestered myself off into my own little respite lair, they have let me "do my own thing". And they are such lovely, talented, decent people. It has been my honour to get to know them more and their ultimate collaboration, THE Quin. He is the COOLEST child ever. I adore the boy. Tonight Jay, Karen, and I played a card game called Nerts. I am addicted and I saw new shades ...

Holiday Homage Part Six: THE Sam

This summer whilst doing "Sweeney", I met Sam Pettit. I was focused on bringing Anthony to life, so throughout the show and backstage I was serious, quiet, reflective.  This guy brought life to the backstage.  He is JOY.  There was a performance in which he could not "attend the tale" and the show was different, lacking somehow. He is a high school senior and has the lovable qualities of youth: exuberance, unparalleled energy, a need to learn, and... He is pleasantly himself. He has a real sense of who he is and that is a rarity in someone so young. He dares to be different, but in an organic way, not to rebel and for that I respect him.  He is more aware than some I know twice his age.   We have kept in touch throughout the months.  When I am pensive or dwelling in the darkness, he is a light of hilarity.   I do not know where Sam's course will lead him, but I am profoundly grateful that it lead him to me this summer. He is such a raw talent with the ability to...

The Kick Ass Brothers (And the Theatre Room I Am Going to Steal)

I just spent the day with my brothers, Bran Flakes and Patricio watching "Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood", "Sin City", and "Live Free or Die Hard" in Bran Flake's KICK ASS KICK ASS KICK ASS Theatre Room. (It deserves all three kick asses and then some actually.) It was a Testosterone Day and I made it all the way through. Can we say the same for Patricio? (Titty baby. Ha.) I think that was the first blog smack talk I have "thrown down". I had never seen "Sin City" or "Live Free or Die Hard". Both were excellent. I did not want to leave the nirvana that is the magic room of cinema wonder. So, thanks to Bran Flakes for hosting and for having the idea. And Patrick, let me know how that nipple is treating you. Here's to smack talk... How liberating! (Especially when I am in control of the forum!) Here's to a kick ass theatre room. And to even more kick ass brothers, Dustin
